Ribbon Storage

 Tuesday tip day:

Todays tip is on ribbon storage. I bought small shelves in the kitchen section from Ikea. They are very inexpensive and hold the ribbons well. It works great, because I can see what I have, and its easy to grab what I need from my desk while I am working on a project. They can hold about 22 more or less of our StampinUp ribbons, depending on the width of the ribbon.

Fresh Vintage & Petite Pairs TBT

Todays card is a throw back from quite a while ago. Using Stampin Write pens instead of your classic stamp pads. It is another technique that is fun, and more versatile. All you need to do is use the brush end directly on the stamp, and when you are finished use your breath to remoisten the ink (using a ha, ha). On some projects you can use multiple colors.

                                                                    Happy Stamping

Card Stock Storage

 Todays Tip & Technique Tuesday:

How do you store your cardstock? As a person who thrives on organization, and of Corse limited space I have  been storing my card stock in filing drawers, and file folders. It helps keep my paper organized, safe from dust, sun exposure, and any spilt liquids. I first start with one of my punches, and cut out a small label to see the colors easily. Then I use my labeler to label each color, making it easy to find what I am looking for. Everyone has their way of organizing, I encourage you to find a way that works best for you, or feel free to use my idea, you can even take it in another direction.

                                                     Happy Stamping

Tips & Technique Tuesday ( Inks )

 Tips & Technique Tuesday

Have you ever wonder what all the different ink pads do. Here's an small introduction to our stamp pads available through StampinUp.
* lets start with our Classic stamp pads, they come in many colors, we currently have 50. Our classic pad is great for just general stamping and using as a background. It is a fast drying water based ink, and acid free, you can also squeeze the closed pad and use the the ink that's left in the lid with an aqua painter, or blender pen.
*Next we have our memento tuxedo black ink, great for general stamping, its acid free, fade resistant, and also dries quickly. Its also a must for Stampin Blends.
*Next we have our StazOn its an Archival and permeant ink, water proof and dries quickly. Its typically used for water coloring with Aqua painters, blender pens, and water color pencils. It can also be used on nonporous items, like window sheets, plastic bags, mugs, and tiles to name a few.
*Last we have our Versamark ink, its a water mark pigment ink, acid free, dries slowly. It has a few uses for one you can use it with embossing powder, for a raised image. you can also use to leave a water mark like image for backgrounds ect.
